Wildlife SOS in collaboration with the IUCN-SSC Sloth Bear Expert Team and UP Forest Department inaugurated the first-ever World Sloth Bear Day on 12th October in Agra. An important step in the conservation of this unique bear species, World Sloth Bear Day was commemorated with the utmost rigor. With the aim of creating awareness about Sloth bears amongst the younger generation, they organised art and writing contests and students of Ek Pahel Pathshala participated in the competition . The winners who submitted scintillating pieces about this rare species were presented with certificates and trophies during the event.
